Welcome to Day Three of Intel Teach to the Future! You've already learning the intricacies of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Publisher and have created some wonderful projects already. You've also posted on this blog (meaning you're a blogger!) and created a pbwiki space for classroom use/home communications. Today, we explore the internet and the vast amount of resources there for you. Don't forget to blog today and tell me what you found most interesting and what you might be most easily able to use in your classroom.
Great job, fellow tech-heads!

Today I learned to Podcast and also today Tammy recorded my voice on the live podcast. I really liked it. The webaddress of the recorded podcast is: http://www.gcast.com/u/tdunbar/. Do listen it once.
I am excited to do all these "new" technology things.
Today's clip showing Jeff Han's new tech was fascinating! I also found the music selection for the podcast activity so engrossing that I didn't even begin the speaking part of it. In fact I'm feeling frustrated about having several things started and not knowing how to return to them, retrieve info, proceed, "import," etc. I am feeling paralyzed honestly.
However, Tammy's continued patience is very much appreciated. Thanks again!
I was able to use podcast, gcast, earthgoogle, and etc. I did really enjoyed podcasting. I have never used it before, so I was excited by it. I also worked on my powerpoint which was making the syllabus. I will use it the very first day of school. Yeeee......

Today has been good in every way -I am focused in a practical way on doing the things that I know I can accomplish within the near future. I'm having fun playing now too, but I am keeping a few of the fun applications in reserve to try out later in the year. I know I will have much more technology integrated into my lessons this year. Everything so far has been for Spanish 3, though, so I want to create something for Spanish 2 at least before students show up August 8, as well as some things for CapFLP (CSMP) Foundations training. I already started a wiki for participants to post their ideas and to have conversations and feedback about their work.
Yeah, we're more than half way there!

Learning about podcasts was great fun. It opened up a whole new dimension to my iTunes use. Now, I can access everything from university lectures to lessons on speaking another language.
Today was also a great day for PowerPoint. I learned some nifty tricks that will definitely serve me well in the future. Because I now understand the motion path tool, my PowerPoints look one hundred times more engaging and professional. I feel like I got a look out of experimenting with my computer today and am looking forward to working on my projects tomorrow.
Again, what a great day! You are such a wonderful group of learners: excited about the trip and willing to try new things, even if they're a teeny bit scary. We'll continue the journey tomorrow!
