Hurrah! You've made it to Intel Teach to the Future 2007 graduation day! It's been a jam-packed, fun-filled week with lots of new applications, web tools, materials, hardware, software and good old elbow grease! I'm proud of each and every one of you for working so hard to accomplish your goal of becoming more proficient (and comfortable) with the Microsoft Office suite of products as well as some really wonderful web applications (wikis, blogs, etc.). You've definitely earned your diplomas!

Just remember my motto: Once I'm your teacher, I'm always your teacher. Please do not hesitate to contact me (tdunbar@musd.net) if you have ANY technology questions!

Together, we made it a GREAT week! Keep on being the Techies you were meant to be! :)

Congratulations! Tammy

We've come a long way from Monday! Everyone seems much more at ease with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. I'm especially impressed that pointing & clicking, copying & pasting, creating and undoing has become second nature to you all! You can blog, you can wiki and you can even YouTube! Perhaps we all will need pocket protectors soon? The most important thing is that you will more comfortable using technology in YOUR classroom and sharing it with your students. That can only INCREASE their learning. GREAT job, everyone!

Don't forget to blog today. Tell me how your unit plans are coming and what, if anything, I can help you with tomorrow as we polish up our units.

Thanks! Tammy

Welcome to Day Three of Intel Teach to the Future! You've already learning the intricacies of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Publisher and have created some wonderful projects already. You've also posted on this blog (meaning you're a blogger!) and created a pbwiki space for classroom use/home communications. Today, we explore the internet and the vast amount of resources there for you. Don't forget to blog today and tell me what you found most interesting and what you might be most easily able to use in your classroom.

Great job, fellow tech-heads!

Tammy

p.s. Doesn't Mr. S sound great? :)

Welcome back to the second day of Intel Teach to the Future! Yesterday, we discussed expectations, Unit Plans, standards, Power Point and blogging. Today, we delve deeper into copyright law, learn to create incredible materials with Microsoft Publisher and take a look at wikis, YouTube and podcasting. You won't believe what you can do on your classroom wiki ... and make it safe for all students and parents. What did you create that you can use in your class when it starts in the next few weeks? What else would you like to create? And how's that Unit Plan coming along? :)

Don't forget to leave your feedback on today's class.

Thanks! Tammy
