Hurrah! You've made it to Intel Teach to the Future 2007 graduation day! It's been a jam-packed, fun-filled week with lots of new applications, web tools, materials, hardware, software and good old elbow grease! I'm proud of each and every one of you for working so hard to accomplish your goal of becoming more proficient (and comfortable) with the Microsoft Office suite of products as well as some really wonderful web applications (wikis, blogs, etc.). You've definitely earned your diplomas!

We've come a long way from Monday! Everyone seems much more at ease with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. I'm especially impressed that pointing & clicking, copying & pasting, creating and undoing has become second nature to you all! You can blog, you can wiki and you can even YouTube! Perhaps we all will need pocket protectors soon? The most important thing is that you will more comfortable using technology in YOUR classroom and sharing it with your students. That can only INCREASE their learning. GREAT job, everyone!

Today, we explore the internet and the vast amount of resources there for you. Welcome back to the second day of Intel Teach to the Future! Yesterday, we discussed expectations, Unit Plans, standards, Power Point and blogging. Today, we delve deeper into copyright law, learn to create incredible materials with Microsoft Publisher and take a look at wikis, YouTube and podcasting.
