The first day of class was great. This was just third time I have used an Apple(Mac) computer. I liked the way Tammy helped me to know this new computer and the time she took to answer my questions. I think this class will help me in designing my lesson plans in entirely new way.

I loved it.

Oh, I forgot to say about Tammy,
You are a great teacher; you are patient, explain every thing very well, and make sure that everyone get what they have to learn.
Thanks again.

Thank you for providing this learning setting for us! There is obviously a LOT of stuff to absorb and apply. I am alternately amazed and slightly frustrated with the array of applications to master, but I suppose this is to be expected!

I am interested of course, in what is on the week's syllabus but also becoming better versed in the "tools of the trade." I will appreciate having additional explanation as to why we "click here" and what the "purpose of that" is! I have not had a lot of technology training and so need some foundational information!
I thank you in advance for your patience!

Today, I reaquainted myself with an old friend -- PowerPoint. I haven't used PowerPoint or any heavy duty technology is ages and, as we all know, when you don't use it, you lose it. It was nice to get some time to feel my way around the controls and to see how this familiar PC program worked on the Mac platform. Exploring the Mac has been very useful, giving me inspiration for the project I'll have to copmlete by the end of the week and some renewed confidence in my abilities. Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll be able to do more than surf the net -- I'll be able to take on Technology, the wave of the future

I suffered a little anxiety before coming here today, sure that I would be the only person who didn't have the skills necessary to advance my learning of technology. Fortunately, Tammy has infinite patience and was available to me for even the most basic questions. I hope to finish a usable Power Point for an Art unit for Spanish 3, that I can use for a quick review of historical events as reflected in art of the Spanish-speaking world, and that can be posted for students to review.

Right now I am wondering how I can apply diactritic marks to Spanish characters of the alphabet within Power Point.

I am actually now excited to know that I will be able to accomplish the weekly goal, and use this information in my professional life, and that what I learn will be honored.

It sounds like we got off to a great start yesterday! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your technological creations when we come back together to meet November 6, 2007 right back at SJCOE Teacher Development from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

And remember, dinner's on us!

Thanks!
