Welcome back to the second day of Intel Teach to the Future! Yesterday, we discussed expectations, Unit Plans, standards, Power Point and blogging. Today, we delve deeper into copyright law, learn to create incredible materials with Microsoft Publisher and take a look at wikis, YouTube and podcasting. You won't believe what you can do on your classroom wiki ... and make it safe for all students and parents. What did you create that you can use in your class when it starts in the next few weeks? What else would you like to create? And how's that Unit Plan coming along? :)

Don't forget to leave your feedback on today's class.

Thanks! Tammy

Today we learned to design a website by an easy to use free website "pbwiki." It was a great experience to work with Tammy. She is a great teacher. I am really amazed and excited with her vast technical knowledge. Good to come in this technology session, right before the school starts.

Today was another productive day. Not only did I learn how to use Microsoft Publisher, create a PBWiki, and found my own blogspot, but I also was assisted in partitioning my laptop. This has been invaluable and I can't wait to try my hand at other programs like Garage Band, iMovie, and Keynote!

Another interesting day!

I found the Ansgar youtube clip analogy humorous and right on target with my current feelings with this new technology!

LOTS to learn so one baby step at a time...

Thanks again for your patience, Tammy!

It's been a great day - I'm feeling more confident and I'm very appreciate, Tammy, that you are so patient and encouraging. Thanks also to my colleagues. It is a privilege and a delight to be working with you all.

I am working hard on my unit and my Power Point is almost finished. I tried to work on Power Point at home before I came here, and I didn't get far! So now it is much better.

You are all doing so well! I'm especially proud that, even when you "fall off the pony," you get right back up in that saddle and try again. See you tomorrow!
